TALENTED ARTS EXHIBIT, MARCH 13TH - 25THThe Tangipahoa Parish School System's Annual Talented Art Exhibit presents works by students in the Tangipahoa Parish School System’s Talented Arts Program, grades 1 - 12 at the Hammond Regional Arts Center.
The exhibit will be on display on March 13th - 25th and conclude with a closing reception on Tuesday, March 25th from 5 - 6:30 PM.
MARCH LUNCH LECTURE WITH KATIE WAINWRIGHTOn Thursday, March 13th, from 12 - 1 PM, writer Katie Wainwright will discuss her third novel, The Azaleas. This will be followed by a short reading from his, her latest novel and she will have copies of both books on hand to sign and sell through Gallery Gifts. Katie Wainwright relied on her expertise for her latest book, The Azaleas, a real estate mystery set in a St. Francisville plantation. Her talk will highlight how by perseverance and salesmanship Kelly Whitmore, the protagonist, solved the riddle and made the sale.
A CELEBRATION OF THE WRITTEN WORDOur all day Celebration of the Written Word will be held on Saturday, March 15th at various locations throughout Downtown Hammond with workshops and lectures by many well accomplished and published authors including a former poet laureate.
WRITING CONTEST OFFERS CASH PRIZES / DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 7TH!So You Think You Can Write encourages emerging writers and promotes literary excellence.
